Technical context of the course
The Construction Waste Management Plan — PGRCC — is a technical instrument used to guide segregation, storage, transport, sorting, destination and final disposal of waste generated in works, renovations, demolitions and real estate developments.
Proper preparation of a PGRCC requires regulatory understanding, knowledge of waste-generation flows on the construction site, capacity to estimate quantities, identification of local transport and destination infrastructure, and construction of a technically defensible document for the developer, technical managers and competent agency.

Who is the course for?
The course is intended for professionals and students in engineering, architecture, environment, sanitation, construction management, environmental consulting, licensing and real estate development planning.
Applied approach
The course uses an applied methodology, with technical presentation, analysis of examples, guided exercises and progressive construction of a final product. The objective is for participants to understand not only the formal content of the plan, but also the technical logic required to justify the choices adopted in a PGRCC.
The total workload will be 20 class hours, distributed in in-person meetings on Saturdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.. Throughout the classes, participants will be guided from regulatory and conceptual fundamentals to the minimum structure of the plan and presentation of the final work.
The activities were organized to allow gradual progress through the content, combining theory, practical examples, discussion of real situations, guided exercises and construction of an evaluative technical product.

Class 1 — Fundamentals
Introduction to PGRCC, conceptual basis, responsibilities, regulatory context and the role of the plan in licensing and construction management.

Class 2 — Waste classification
Identification of construction-waste classes, generating sources, segregation, storage and technical responsibilities.

Class 3 — Generation estimate
Estimation methods, spreadsheet organization, calculation memorandum, generation indicators and compatibility with development characteristics.

Class 4 — Diagnosis of local infrastructure
Survey of haulers, sorting areas, recycling, processing, final destination and analysis of the plan’s operational feasibility.

Class 5 — Minimum PGRCC structure and final-work presentation
Organization of the document, tables, annexes, recommendations, control measures and case-study presentation for the Final Work.
The Final Work must be submitted for evaluation within 7 days after the last class.
The final grade will be released within 15 days after the completion of the activities, together with certificate issuance for participants who meet the minimum attendance, participation and evaluation criteria.
Final course product
The evaluation may involve construction of a final technical product, applying the concepts discussed in class. Certification will be issued to participants who meet the minimum participation and delivery criteria defined by the course organization.
